There is a 199-person maximum capacity inside of the barn. For larger weddings you can rent a tent.
Yes, there are two climate-controlled wedding party preparation lounges, and one has a private bathroom.
To allow each wedding party the greatest flexibility there is no dedicated dance floor. Dances can take place in several spaces, including the loft, outside under the lights, or inside on the main barn floor.
Yes, tents are allowed in prearranged areas. Divanyx Event Center requires the use of a licensed and professional vendor to set up and take down the commercial tent.
Yes, there are areas for both reception and ceremony, as well as flexibility in the event of rain. There are many options to suit the specific style of any given wedding party and Divanyx Event Center staff work to ensure venue spaces function in the best fashion for each unique event.
There are tables and chairs available on site. Ceremony and dining seating is composed entirely of white deluxe folding chairs. Table options include banquet tables in both six and eight-foot lengths, as well as round tables.
Linens, as well as several other decorative items, can be rented from Divanyx Event Center to be used for onsite events.
Divanyx Event Center staff will setup the tables and chairs according to the pre-approved table layout from the couple. Staff will also setup the chairs for the ceremony at the desired location. Rental party is responsible for decorating the venue to their desire and staff is not provided for decorating.
Divanyx Event Center features many spaces perfect for beautiful portraits. The venue itself has many picturesque scenes that will provide a gorgeous backdrop to any event photo. In addition, the natural landscape surrounding the venue allows for greater diversity in photo backdrops. Finally, Divanyx Event Center staff are always working to enhance the grounds and buildings to optimize photo opportunities.
Divanyx Event Center begins operation each year in mid-April and concludes its event season in mid-November.
We maintain an open vendor policy. Divanyx Event Center does not offer on-site catering, giving you the flexibility to select your own caterer. We’ve worked with a wide range of caterers and are happy to provide recommendations tailored to your event’s needs.
You’re also welcome to bring your own food—whether that’s a full meal or a few additional snacks to complement your catering. From plated dinners and buffets to fun, budget-friendly food trucks, you’re free to choose whatever best fits your vision. We have an open vendor policy. You’re more than welcome to bring your own drinks and alcohol! To keep things running smoothly and stay in line with Minnesota state law for public assemblies, here is how we handle service:
• Alcoholic Beverages: If you plan to serve alcohol, state law requires a licensed bartender; self-service is not permitted. Fortunately, hiring a professional is very affordable, and we have several great recommendations on our vendor page to help you out.
• Non-Alcoholic Beverages: If you are only serving NA drinks, no bartender is required! You are free to set up a self-serve station for your guests.
Essentially, as long as the "hard stuff" is poured by a pro, you’re good to go!
Divanyx provides an excellent space for all types of gatherings. Although space is often used for weddings, it has also been the gathering space for several work events, birthday parties, quinceañeras, and reunions. Please contact Divanyx Event Center for a tour and consultation for your special gathering.
When you book a Friday wedding, we include the preceding Thursday for your decorating, rehearsal, and even your groom’s dinner! For all other wedding days, we are happy to offer you the day before for free, provided there is no other event scheduled.
Typically, we can confirm this availability roughly 90 days before your wedding date. We provide about four hours of venue access the day before, giving you plenty of time to handle the final details and celebrate with your wedding party.
If you require more time, Divanyx Event Center offers a full weekend (Friday through Sunday) rental package that allows you plenty of time for setup of decorations, rehearsal, and the rehearsal dinner. The same alcohol policies apply for your rehearsal dinner as on the day of the main event.
Yes, there are restrooms, and they are wheelchair accessible.
The lounge and the refinished granary, perfect spaces for the wedding party to prepare, both have heat and air conditioning. The indoor photography studio that also has the photo booth is both heated and air conditioned. The lower level of the barn has AC and heat. Fans, open windows, and doors help cool the upper level of the barn on warm days.
Divanyx Event Center is not permitted to have guests camp on site. Guests wishing to bring RVs can request more information in advance for advice on some parking solutions.
One of our greatest strengths is that our venue is owned and operated by professional photographers. This unique perspective ensures that every inch of the property—from the architecture of the buildings to the landscaping—is designed specifically with stunning photos in mind. You’ll notice those extra details and "photogenic touches" throughout the entire estate.
Because we know our property better than anyone, we also offer an exclusive 20% discount on any of our four wedding photography packages for couples who host their event with us.
Even if you choose to bring in your own photographer, you still benefit from a venue built for the lens, ensuring your memories look incredible from every angle!
We don’t just give you one or two photo booths—we include three at no extra cost! All three are bundled with your venue payment to ensure your guests have plenty of ways to capture the day.
• Traditional Print Booth: This setup provides classic 2x6 printouts, which are perfect for guests to take home or use to fill a guest scrapbook.
• Social Photo Booth: Designed for quick sharing, we typically set this one up near the dance floor to capture the energy of the party.
• Virtual Photo Booth: You’ll receive access to this once your balance is fully paid. It allows guests to snap photos on their own phones and join the fun, whether they are celebrating with you in person or from afar.
Each of these booths carries a value of over $1,000, and they are all yours to enjoy throughout your wedding day!
Most customers pay with a check, but we also accept cash, Venmo, Zelle and payment through PayPal. If using PayPal or a credit card there is a 3.5% fee added to the price.
We only allow dogs/pets with prior approval from Divanyx Event Center staff, so please ask if you are wishing to bring a dog or other pet. Service and companion animals are allowed. If approval is given by Divanyx Event Center staff, pet owners must cleanup after their pets while on the premises.
We pride ourselves on being one of the few venues that offer truly flexible payment terms. We know that wedding planning can be stressful, so we’re here to make the financial side as seamless as possible by working with each couple to find a schedule that fits their unique situation.
While most couples choose to pay half upon signing and the remaining balance six months before the big day, we are happy to customize that. Whether you prefer monthly installments or a different milestone plan, we’ll find a solution that works for you and your finances.
Divanyx Event Center does not provide event planning services but there are many vendors you can choose from if you wish to have this service. Most couples do most of the wedding planning themselves and do not hire a service but if you would like to sit back and let someone else plan you are more than welcome to hire an event planner.

After dinner, our staff will clear all reception tables, including décor and any leftover trash. Any décor you provided will be set aside for you to take home or donate at the end of the evening, along with any other personal items.
Our newly remodeled game room is one of the latest additions to the venue, designed to provide endless entertainment for you and your guests at no additional cost. We are constantly adding new features, but our current lineup of amenities includes:
• Gaming & Entertainment: Two 70-inch TVs for sports or streaming, plus Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5 consoles (controllers and games included).
• Retro Vibes: A classic game simulator featuring over 10,000 vintage titles.
